COMMENDEE 2021-22: Ann is Commended for her professionalism, compassion, and dedication as an Officer and Custodial Manager at HMP/YOI Preston, and in particular for her outstanding and transformational leadership of her wing during the Covid pandemic.

COMMENDEE 2021-22: Nominated by more than 20 prisoners, who describe her as “exceptional” and “a shining star”, Gemma is granted a Commendation for her outstanding work as an Officer in HMP Grendon’s Therapeutic Community.

COMMENDEE 2021-22: Chineme is Commended for her “kindness”, “calmness”, and “compassion” towards prisoners and staff at HMP/YOI Isis, her “integrity” and steadfast commitment to best practice, and as an exemplary role model to her colleagues.

COMMENDEE 2021-22: OSG Gary’s Commendation is for the truly exceptional support he provided to staff and their families during the pandemic, including when two of his colleagues sadly died, in his voluntary role as Joint Care Team Leader at HMP Lewes.
