HRH The Princess Royal

HRH is a long standing champion of the #HiddenHeroes working in our prisons, IRCs, probation and youth justice settings, and has been a Patron of the Trust since its inception in 1985.

As our Patron, The Princess has hosted and presented the Butler Trust Annual Awards every year since 1985.

In addition to presenting our Awards, HRH has, over the years, visited almost every prison across the UK (many of them more than once), as well as many probation and youth justice offices, to see the work of our Award Winners and their #HiddenHeroes colleagues first-hand, and to thank them for all they do.
